Your critics are your ones telling you they still love you and care." --Randy Pausch, "Last Lecture"

Tomorrow I go for my "interview" for a partial hospitalization program. My doc wanted me to do that for structure -- hence my attempt at making my own structure -- and I challenged him to make an appointment for me today while I was in his office. Which he did. After laughing (with me) at my account of how I did on my first day of my own structured time. Oh, I did the Free Time block okay -- knocked it out of the park, in fact, to the detriment of the task-y things before and after it. Such a slug.

I'll actually start the program the day after tomorrow. It's Monday to Friday from 10 to 3, for two weeks. Then I'll be cured!

Nonsense with the school secretary about my extended leave. I emailed her the forms on Friday to extend my leave through the rest of the school year. She emailed me today wondering if I was serious. She also said that I had the incorrect dates for my other leave documents and ... well, nothing she said made sense to me, although that's likely my deficit since I'm generally confused when confronted with bureaucracy and rules. And now I'll be in a program where I can't have a cell phone and the hours of which (including commute) roughly match the school day. How to explain that without saying, "Sorry you can't reach me, I'm in the fucking nuthouse all day." Fie on 't, fie, I say!

I'm going to call my old vice principal (now a friend) and ask her for advice, although I think fellow Stumbler mrcclass already gave me probably the best suggestion.
